Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information mue labs (“mue labs”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to muelabs.com and to the sign-up forms we run on Facebook and Instagram.
Who we are
mue labs is an independent lab based in San Francisco, California. We are currently testing a voice-assisted shopping product. You can reach us at hi@muelabs.com.
Information we collect
- Information you give us through a sign-up form. When you submit one of our forms on Facebook or Instagram, we receive the details you enter or confirm, such as your name, email address and phone number, along with your answers to any questions on the form.
- Information you send us directly. If you email us or reply to one of our messages, we keep that correspondence.
We do not ask for payment details or other sensitive personal information through these forms. Our website does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
How we use your information
- To contact you about the product you expressed interest in, including early access and scheduling a conversation or demo.
- To ask for your feedback and understand how much interest there is in the product.
- To respond to your questions and requests.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
We share it only in these cases:
- Service providers. Companies that store or process data on our behalf, such as email, spreadsheet and customer-contact tools, under terms that limit their use of it to providing those services.
- Meta. Our sign-up forms are hosted by Meta Platforms, Inc. on Facebook and Instagram. Meta's handling of the information you submit there is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Legal reasons. If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of mue labs or others.
- Business transfer. If mue labs is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of it, subject to this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep the information you submit for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Your choices
- Access, correction and deletion. Email hi@muelabs.com to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We respond within 30 days.
- Stop hearing from us. Reply “unsubscribe” to any message, or email us, and we will stop contacting you.
We honor these requests wherever you live. Depending on your state, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, and we will not treat you differently for exercising them.
Do Not Track
Our website does not track visitors over time or across third-party websites, so it does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals.
Children
Our forms and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and limit access to the people who need it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date above.
